Hamburger China-Gesellschaft e. V. was founded in 1973 and is consequently the oldest Chinese association in Hamburg. Since then, it has seen it as its primary objective to encourage interest in China, promote understanding of China’s present problems and the country’s history, as well as to contribute to in-depth engagement with Chinese culture in all its forms. In pursuit of this goal, the association holds monthly talks at which people who know China well speak about various topics.
