Transferring your phone number to Ortel Mobile is so simple

You can switch your mobile phone number to Ortel Mobile in 3 simple steps:

  1. Apply for number portability with Ortel Mobile
    Please activate your SIM card. 
    Then print out the application for number portability. You can find the application for transferring your phone number here.

    Send the completed and signed application to:
    Ortel Mobile GmbH, c/o Telefonica GmbH & Co. OHG. P.O. Box, 90345 Nuremberg
    or by fax to: 0331-700 31 30

    Please note that the customer data with your previous provider and the customer data stored with us must be identical.
  2. Your current provider must release your phone number
    Do you have a fixed-term contract but want to switch before the contract ends? Please call your old provider and let them know you want them to release your number for porting (= porting declaration). Please note that your contract with your original provider will continue under the previous conditions, so remember to cancel this contract in writing in good time.

    Do you have a fixed-term contract and want to switch at the end of the contract? In this case, inform your old provider in good time that you wish to cancel the contract on soonest possible date. Number portability is possible at the end of the contract term and for at least 30 days after the end of the contract.

    You don’t have a prepaid SIM card? If you would like to transfer the phone number from a prepaid card, please send a waiver to your previous provider. You can obtain a form from them on request or from their website.
  3. Done!

Number portability to another provider

Send the "Number portability to another provider" form to us at the address on the form, or call our customer service hotline. We’ll confirm the release of your phone number via SMS.

The good thing is that you can cancel these rates on a monthly basis.
